Gregory Williams for Wantage Committee
Twenty plus years ago Greg began his career as a laborer, then a carpenter’s apprentice with a small New Jersey contractor. Years later, he now manages multi-million dollar projects for a Fortune 500 company. The experience he has gained through his career and education in financial planning, scheduling, labor management, risk assessment and contract negotiation will be an asset to Wantage and its governing body. His passion for the political process and the history of our nation has driven Greg to get involved and encourage others to be a part of the democratic process.
Nine years ago, Greg was appointed as a commissioner to the Wantage Township Recreation Commission. As the current President of the commission, Greg and his fellow commissioners have worked to improve Wantage parks and develop many events for the enjoyment of our residents. His years serving on the commission has helped him to navigate local government and work together with civic groups to address issues and find solutions.
Over the years, Greg has been appointed to several "blue ribbon" commissions to find solutions for the issues facing Wantage. His work in the risk assessment and feasibility of purchasing the Sussex Airport and issues such as the Lake Neepaulin dam were instrumental in Greg’s motivation to pursue higher office in Wantage Township.
He has made serving his country and community a staple within his life and looks forward to working for the residents of Wantage.
